The Rollz Motion Rhythm is specially designed for Parkinson’s patients that includes multiple adjustable rhythmic cues that help one regaining or keeping up to walking pace.
The stability of the Rollz Motion Rhythm prevents falls that could occur due to balance problems and the cues overcome freezing or festinating gait patterns. The projected laser line could trigger the user to break a freeze, while a metronome or repeating vibration in the handles could help set the pace.
- Laser: A green laserline is projected onto the ground. This visual cue not only stimulates to break a freeze, but also improves the stride length and walking speed.
- Vibration: Handles vibrate at the rhythm of the pace. A big advantage of this tactile cue is that it is not noticeable by the surrounding people.
- Metronome: A metronome can also signal the preferred step frequency. The acoustic rhythm contributes to regulating the walking speed.
