Traditional tactile sensors are rigid and in fixed sizes and shapes, thus not able to meet the requirement in form factors and shape conformability for the application of flexible mat. NAMI has developed an ultra-flexible textile sensor that can be easily integrated with many products for continuous monitoring of pressure. The pressure sensing component is a piezoresistive fabric sandwiched between two flexible textile electrode sheets. The sensor product could be designed as sensor array to monitor pressure distribution over a large area.
